Rain or shine, NYC can’t handle your trash.

Looking forward to the day when this is not the norm. Single use disposable items make up so much of our street litter. The City’s employees empty these bins: note the sign, no household or business waste. But everything in this bin came from a business! Once the waste is in the public realm, it becomes the City’s responsibility, at great cost. We need to rethink our #disposableculture, fast. #singleusedisposables #nyctrash #wastelessnyc #zerowastenyc
